You know when your kids/spouse/dog says or does something funny/interesting/weird/stupid (the list goes on!), and you think "I've *totally* gotta blog that" but then it only works out at about 3 lines of a blog post and that's just not enough so you just leave it and forget it ever happened? Well, that's why I thought I'd start Sunday Snippets. You can write down and/or photograph something cute, funny or generally blogworthy that happens as it happens throughout the week, and every Sunday make it into a post. I figured since we're all friends here in this bloggy community that maybe you might like to find out what others are up to as well!
- Write your Sunday Snippets post.
- Get the button in the right sidebar over there to thwack onto your post.
- Add the link to your blog post (note I said POST, not just the blog url!) to the MckLinky at the bottom here.
- Read what some of your fellow bloggers have been up to, comment, and enjoy finding new people!
- Come back next Sunday and do it all over again. :)
Well, my two boys have been being little sweethearts this last week!
Zack, has decided to be as helpful as he can possibly be! He's still been sweeping up when it's been needed, and has been helping to tidy up all the toys, along with doing things like trying to give me foot rubs and even climbed up behind me to give my back a rub while we were watching Xfactor! I am amazed at the transformation of my lil man in the last two weeks, absolutely amazed!
I asked him if there were any particular reason he was being so helpful. I mean come on, most 5 yr olds only help out when they want something, right? Turns out it was because I'd said he was the man of the house now, and he wants to make sure he takes care of me and Max! My heart just about melted right there and then!
Max, ohhh Maxi Maxi Maxi... how MUCH you've come on in the last few weeks! Huge leaps and bounds, and I'm SOOOO proud of you lil man!
Since the original climbing out of the cot thing, I've removed the side of your cot, so you don't fall. You've figured out how to get yourself semi-dressed, you'll climb up INTO BED with me in the mornings and snuggle while we watch cartoons. You've figured out how to climb into the kitchen chairs and will eat at them (sometimes!) rather than in your highchair.
The best thing this week though?
It started when you saw your big brother getting his dessert for his tea. A Cadburys Flake Dessert to be exact.
Oh how you liked the look of THAT! So Zack and I thought, well what the hey, we'll give you a shot with one little spoonful of it... you weren't sure at first, but after getting over the initial "I don't know if I like the feel of this in my mouth!" feeling, your expression changed to that of "OOOOOH this is really tasty! mmmm!", and I knew you were hooked!
So not ONLY were you EATING SOMETHING THAT'S WET AND SLIMY (!!!!) you were eating it WITH A SPOON!!! ON YOUR OWN!!!
Can you tell I'm proud of you little man?
I'm so proud of both my boys this week, they've been being absolute angels (well, that's a lie, Zack is still clingy, and Max is still screamy sometimes, not to mention trying to get him to stay in his bed at night, but I'm choosing to focus on the positives!), and I feel sooo lucky to have them! :)
Pet moment of the week this time around definitely has to go to Rocky Da Cat, who stuck to Zack like glue when he was unwell, even following him and waiting outside the toilet, bless him!
So, that's my Sunday Snippets, now tell me yours! :)
