A Week in the Life...

Well, it's been a bit of an up and down week here with Max being unwell, so here comes a "week in the life" filler-update while things get back to normal (HA, normal... HAHAHAHAHA)!

Monday mud mask: ahhhh bliss. Kids back to school and so I relaxed in a bath and treated myself to a muddy face... my skin feels super soft now! The bath looks like it was attacked by a mud-monster. All in the name of beauty, right?

Tuesday: Max got to have the day off school to go to the dentist! He was super happy when he realised we were waving Z off to school and he was getting to stay home. In face, his exact words (WORDS!!!) were: "BYE Zack!! High five Mummy!!" followed by a whoop of joy. An actual whoop! Before we went out, our new (to us) piano got delivered! So that was a very happy squee from me too. An actual squee!

Wednesday was my gorgeous mama's birthday, so I got to spend the afternoon with her and my dad, going to a lovely wee cafe for her birthday lunch, and basically getting to eat goodies, relax, and chatter. Awesome!

Thursday... well, that started just before midnight with Max waking and asking to be changed. Although he doesn't use his diaper at nights, this had woken him up... enough said! In the morning he was also asking for his inhalers so it was definitely a day off for us.

This was also the day Zack's ukulele arrived, so he was a happy camper! Check out the wee video:

And yes that was me squealing a little at the end...

I know, I know. I can't help it! Literally the first time he'd picked it up after his first lesson last week!

{Random aside: guess who's just woken up again in the middle of the night as I'm writing this? Ah yes... that'd be Max! Just as well he's so cute... that photo of him with Elmo? That's how wide awake he is right now. After midnight as I write this...}

Friday was pretty much more of Max feeling unwell, and this weekend has been a very quiet one as a result.

Though it's sounding like Max is ready to party at the moment. Oh well! Back to school tomorrow hopefully and some normality can resume.

Side note: tons of photos of Max and none of Zack, I know! My 10 year old going on 15 year old keeps trying to pose for photos by looking "cool", which in his mind, means looking as dour-faced as possible, so I told him I'm not putting any photos up of him unless he's smiling!

Luckily he's as much of an attention seeker as I am (did I just admit that ON THE INTERNET? Yes, yes I did. Bugger.), so hopefully the "posing" won't last long!

Well, happy Monday everyone! I hope you have a wonderful week, and if you've got something you're worrying about coming up, remember: you've got this! ❤
