Lazy-Bum

by Marylin on February 17, 2010

That’s me… I’m a lazy sod sometimes. Right now I’m being a lazy-bum with my photography. The light here 5-6 months of the year is, quite frankly, shit, and I don’t pick up my camera as much as I could, or should.

That doesn’t mean I’m not doing anything photog related though! I’m still reading through Understanding Exposure (yes, I’m a slow reader – by the time I go to bed all I want to do is sleep, not read a book!), and I have my photoshop book to work through.

I’m still going onto Clickin Moms lots, they’re even doing a 10% off thingy with the code “FRIEND” at the checkout. I’d *highly* reccomend it if you’re feeling like you need some inspiration, it’s a great community over there!

I still look at everything as if it’s a photo opportunity. I love looking around where I stand/sit/lie and looking at all the little details. Something I used to have a terrible habit of just skimming past when I was younger.

I don’t even have any photos to share today, how bad is that? I used to post pics all the time, even if they were mainly just snapshots.

I need to get out of this rut I think.

Just another month. The clocks will go back, the chill in the air will go and I will be out! all! the time! with my boys and my camera.

I can’t wait!

I can’t wait for the days to get longer. I’m like you, I’m hopeless at picking up my camera when the light is so rubbish. I could learn how to use the camera properly in rubbish light, but I’m a lazy bum!

I know exactly what you mean. It is so hard to feel inspired in the winter. So fun to meet you today. I love photography and love to learn from others like you : )
PS I have a photoshop book I have been reading for 4 months… despicable right? I keep falling asleep before I can get very far.

I’m *exactly* the same with my most recent books… my Understanding Exposure book has been dipped into a bit, but I’m not even a 3rd of the way through it and it’s been about 6 months since I got it! ;)
