Sure, you're going to get pretty harsh shadows, but still. Frozen pictures are better than blurred ones (In most cases) Possibly look into an external flash on the top? Something you can adjust so that the light bounces off the ceiling, so you don't get that built in flash feeling :) By the way, how fast are your lenses?
