    The Kareoke Meme

Otherwise known as... she's gonna sing... HIDE!

This is totally and utterly Paul's fault by the way, so you can blame him for feeling seasick at watching me swaying around like an eejit while singing.

What can I say, I was in my groove! ;)

So... it's your turn now, Paul...
    Don't mess with me! LOL!

    The Memorable Firsts...

The lovely Sally, from Who's the Mummy tagged me for this. I have a feeling it may have been to kick start my butt into posting again, LOL!

So... basically it's a list of firsts... though I'm not sure I can remember all of them!

First teacher: Mrs Zalinski. I think I've spelled that right. Oh come on... I was in primary one, what do you expect?? I don't really remember much about P1 to be honest. Other than being in line with my dad on the first day, and complaining of a sore tummy, to be told that it was just butterflies. Of course I kind of freaked that there were butterflies stuck in my tummy. Silly me! Oh, and sitting next to a boy who was being allowed to whiz ahead in his maths book, and me wanting to do the same (and being able to), but not being allowed. Turned out he was being fast tracked to P2 as he was older, or something!)

First snog: Erm... I think it was when I was... hmm, 8 or 9? I was in primary 4 I remember. A boy called Ian. We used to say (about 2 min apart) that we needed the toilet, to go to the stairs where there was a wee supplies room that we'd hide and wait for the other in, and have a snog. So illicit! LOL!

First record: Jason and Kylie's album. Yep. I had a thing for Jason Donovan. Not so much any more... I adored him in Neighbours though. Apparently I made my parents start watching it as they'd put on the tv for the 6 o'clock news, and I loved the credits!

First job: I was the primary dishwasher at a place called The Rock Cafe (because it was literally on a rock, right at the pier in Dunoon where I used to live. I remember the water being so hot that even with gloves on, my hands literally *throbbed*.

First crush: Hmm. I think that was James 2. Let me explain. There were three different James' in our class. I fancied James 2. I can't even remember his last name now! OK well I can. But people google their names, as some of us know only too well! ;)

First hangover: I was a bit late to the party on this one! I don't think it was till I was about 16/17! Can't remember when/where/how it happened. But it was fun. I think! I cannot, for the life of me, drink Aftershock now though. *shudders at the thought*

First gig: *coughboyzonecough* yep. I was 14. I went to see them with my two bestest friends at the time. We were smitten! I remember the last act before they came on was actually Westlife - though they were "Westside" then! Though nobody knew them at that point. We all thought it was Boyzone, and were gutted when it wasn't. Yes I know. You're going to unsubscribe to me, aren't you? Just remember though, I grew up in the 90s. As a teenage girl. *hangs head in shame*

First Flat: A 2 bed ground floor victorian flat about a ten minute walk away from uni. I adored that wee place! Though there wasn't enough room for a double bed... which was a pain at times. *cough* ;)

First byline: Umm, I think I'm still using it? "Insanity isn't hereditary, you get it from your kids." If that even counts. >_<

First blog: Well, my first blog was A Little Space for Me. Only I lost it all when I was faffing about with SoftThistle at the beginning of the year. So I don't know what my first post for that was. It was back in Nov '07 though, so probably had to do with my 7 week old Max (how has it been that long already??) being screamy, and no sleep, and nappy changes, and birth stories. As you do. I did find some older photos that I'd taken when I just got my first big girl's camera, the D60, back in march '08... wow the difference in my photography between then and now!!

So, um... that's it I think.

Not really that interesting. Probably  because my memory is, and always has been, pretty vague when it comes to my childhood! Actually, it still is, even with what I had for breakfast this morning.

    Wait... did I have breakfast?

    No I did.

    Or was that yesterday?

Oh bugger it! See what I mean??

    So... tagging time! Bwahahaha!

    The One Word Meme

Ahhh I was hoping I'd get this one at some point. I admit it, I want to know what you think of me!

I was tagged by the geektastic Ruth from Geek Mummy.

Michelle at Mummy from the Heart came up with the idea of this... here's what she said:
I am creating a meme, called the 1 Word Meme and I would love for every one of us to be able to collate all the the positive words left by our real life friends, virtual friends and fellow bloggers so that we each have a sheet of positive affirmations to treasure and boost our self-esteem.

So... how do you perceive me, in one word? I'm dying to know!

I think most people have been tagged for this, so if you haven't and want to do it, let me know and I'll add you in here!

    *****

    A random aside:

Zack lost his first tooth today(well, last night I guess but I write these things in advance you know!) He's SO excited, and damn I had forgotten how much the lil suckers make you bleed when they come out!

The toothfairy has been, and he is fast asleep. I can't wait to see what he says tomorrow morning!

    ALSO!

Oh my gosh Max is coming on SOOOOO well! He's trying to copy words! He's engaging in two-way conversations with his babbling!

This evening when I tucked him up to bed I waved to him and said "night night".

"Nai nai!" with a wave was the response!

I then said "Love you!" and blew him a kiss.

Would you BELIEVE it he said "love ooo" back and blew me one back!!!

    YAY!!

    *****

Now then... what is it we were talking about?

Oh yes! Tell me in one word what you think of when you "see" me around on twitter, facebook, the blog. Wherever! I want to know!

    Three By Nine...

I got tagged for this by the lovely Julia at Curtains for the Windows...

The rules: All you have to do is answer the nine questions below and then tag three of your fellow bloggers. That way we can all learn a little something new about each other, Here we go!
Three names I go by: Marylin, Maz, Mummy

Three places I’ve lived: Glasgow, Dunoon, Dundee

Three places I’ve worked: waitress at a cafe, typical shop job, and customer services advisor for BT.

Three things I love to watch: My boys laughing together, clouds floating by, something beautiful being made.

Three places I have been and love: Whipsnade, the hill behind my old house in Dunoon - you could see the whole of the Clyde all the way down to Arran, and York.

Three people that email me regularly: Veronica, Barbara and Nikkii.

Three things I love to eat: fajitas, Christmas dinner, Oreo coockie bash (a cheesecake).

Three people I think will respond: Erm, no idea!

Three things I am looking forward to: My wee Max getting better from this icky virus. Holidays and being able to relax. Seeing Barbara and Nikkii in April for a weekend!

Hmm, now I get to tag three people!

    Barbara (blog fodder, yay!)
