I Used to Love...

Horses. 

Anything to do with them.

Even though I didn't get lessons (ok, at the time I was VERY pouty about it, but now I *totally* understand! Expensive much? Up every Saturday morning at the crack of dawn? No thanks!!), I knew everything about them. The tack used on them, all the different brushes used for grooming and which one did what. I even knew what plants were dangerous for them to eat. 

Could I tell you those things now? 

Not a chance!

It seems that my mind has expelled a lot of information I collected over the years. 

Hell, it's definitely not remembered all those drug pathways and such from pharmacology!

(and such... that's the technical term. *cough*)

However I do still seem to remember how to draw them.

I'm out of practice, for sure, 

but there's something really calming about sitting down, looking at photos of the most beautiful beasts I've ever seen, and trying to draw them. 

I think I need to make friends with someone who has a horse...

just so I can give one a hug

and feel that gorgeous soft-as-velvet muzzle one more time.

I guess there's not really any "used to" about it. Eh?
