I'm Officially the Mother of a School Boy.
Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at 11:07AM How the hell did that happen so quickly??
It doesn't seem like a whole five years since I was holding you in my arms as a newborn baby, just a few weeks old. How can it be that it was really five years ago? Seriously?
We've spent most of the summer counting down the days till you start school. You are so looking forward to being a Big Boy and learning to read and write. I've been so looking forward to a little peace.
Then all of a sudden the day's upon us. You're at school now, Max is napping, and I'm wondering why on earth I was so desperate for you to grow up.
That's it now isn't it? No longer my lil boy that I can protect from the world.
Now you'll learn, you'll grow, you'll change, and I'll see less and less of you as the years go on.
I actually almost cried thinking about it all.
Instead I went to the local cafe and got some breakfast, came home and have been enjoying some peace and quiet while you're no doubt having a blast with your classmates.
No matter what though, you'll always be my little man, even when you're towering above me.
Love you lots Zack. xxx

He is just gorgeous. You're going to be in BIG trouble when he's a little bigger.
(((Hugs))). He'll be fine. You, maybe not so much.
Ding!
You have now reached the level of school gate mummy.
Gratz!
I have a feeling I may be beating them away with a stick! lol :)

Isn't it crazy how fast they grow?!?! He is so stinking cute!
It's insane! I just can't believe that's *it* already! :)
Hope it went well today
It went really well, he can't wait till tomorrow! :)
Cool hair! I don't know what was worst - my first going to school or my last - actually they were both pretty painless - far too chaotic and frantic and exciting to be upset about it :)
Awww, he is going to be a heartbreaker and I love the hair:) The time flies and school makes it happen even faster, sigh. Somehow my 4 year old has turned into an 8 year old with an attitude to match!! Hope it continues to go well:) Jen
Oh, and isn't he adorable! Congratulations!
Doesn't he look smart?! A REAL school boy!
Thanks sweety! :) x
I am still having trouble believing it! Not liking the early starts right out of the house though - we're used to lazy mornings here! >_<
Ohh don't tell me that!! I don't want Zack to change! *sighs* :)
I was ok with my first, went a bit wobbly the night before at the reality of it, but today I can't wait to get him out of here! Roll on full days imo! ;)
And what a handsome young man he is too!
I tell WiiBoy everyday that he will always be my baby boy!!
And here's something you should know.... 10 year old (almost 11) boys still love a snuggle with mummy ;-) They also love their blankies they had as a baby (even come on holidays with them) AND they still love cuddly toys.
Just thought you should know this :-)
xx Jazzy
Aww thanks for the reminder! I will hold you to that you know... :)
wow
hope he is enjoying school
He is loving it! Though he's so tired I'm dragging him outta bed in the mornings now instead of the other way around! LOL
I am in turns excited and terrified. Our d-day is 13th September. She does a week of mornings and then full time - woo-hoo/eeeek! The boy starts pre-school in October (the 11th) so I'll have afternoons free. Well, I would but I've agreed to nanny for someone so I'll have two extra kids hanging around!
Oh he is such a big boy and so handsome.
