    Four Days Till Freedom!

On Saturday the boys will be going up to their father's for a week.

You might remember the first time they went up north how absolutely sick with worry I was. Remember that? Yeah, me too.

The second time, I don't think I even mentioned it on the blog. It was only for 3 nights, and I wasn't well. When I say I wasn't well I mean I had a chest infection and spent the entire time in bed or lying on the sofa coughing and feeling sorry for myself. It was lucky really, that the boys were up north and I wasn't having to try to take care of them *and* be very unwell/dizzy/coughing-up-shit at the same time.

This time has to be my 3rd time lucky.

This time I fully intend to make the most of the week that they are away.

Long lies, being able to go out to the pub at a moment's notice.

Maybe a trip to the cinema,

and being able to just take my camera and go for a walk when I damn well please!

Not to mention not having to watch Cbeebies or Playhouse Disney on repeat. Oh thank GOD for that!

I'm hoping to be able to afford to go into Dundee for the day at some point too, to see some of my old friends, and maybe meet a new one.

That will depend on finances though, and whether I actually get out of bed before midday at all while they're away...

So, four days from now, the boys will be away up north for the week. Dean and I will be FREEEEEE.

That means one thing and one thing only.

    PUB!

    PUB PUB PUB!

And no need to worry about not being able to drink much incase the boys need me.

I can actually get a bit drunk! :D

Mmmm I can hear the Jaeger Bombs calling me already... nomnomnom.

What do you do when you have some child free time?

Or if you don't get child free time, what would you do if you could have some?

Oooh, lucky you! Make sure you get out with your camera. Oh, and if you do go and meet The Moiderer, give her a hug from me and tell her sorry I haven't commented much lately!

    Have fun.

Sounds like you are going to have a fantastic week. And think how great it'll be to see them when they get back home.
I do get to go out of an evening fairly regularly but I have never had a whole day to myself since little one was born. I would love that! Although I probably wouldn't know what to do with myself. Too much to choose from. I'd probably go to the seaside, walk lots and take lots of photos - oh and a no doubt shop a little too!

    Lucky you :)

4 days with no children, I would be reading with the TV off.

Eating what I want to eat, lots of hot chili and curry with no little people to complain.

I would shop, go to cinema and read a book (or multiple books even). Have a fantastic time, I hope it is everything you want it to be and you get to relax lots :D Jen

I would love to go shopping, but still on a tight budget, other than that, I am *so* looking forward to just being able to even go to the grocery store without the kids in tow whining and asking for everything in sight! LOL It's the little things, right? ;)

I love your posts Marilyn! I've only had nights away from Emily a few times and they were only to go to weddings etc. I hope you guys have a great time, every good mum deserves time away for a break and it makes you miss them when they come back and make them miss you too.

My cousin owes me 4 lots of babysitting now and I'm building them up (like credits lol) for when I want her to have Emily one day, or a few days :-)
