    Sunday Snippets 22-28 Nov

    You know when your kids/spouse/dog says or does something totally blogworthy and you think "I've *totally* gotta blog that" but then it only works out at about 3 lines of a blog post and that's just not enough so you just leave it and forget it ever happened? Well, that's why I thought I'd start Sunday Snippets. You can write down and/or photograph something cute, funny or generally blogworthy that happens as it happens throughout the week, and every Sunday make it into a post. I figured since we're all friends here in this bloggy community that maybe you might like to find out what others are up to as well!

    1. Write your Sunday Snippets post.

    2. Get the button in the right sidebar over there to thwack onto your post, and link back to this post (please!).

    3. Add the link to your blog post to the MckLinky at the bottom here.

    4. Read what some of your fellow bloggers have been up to, comment on at least one.

    5. Spread the love, let others know about Sunday Snippets!

    Oooh it's been a productive week here... Christmas shopping is DONE! Just need to sort out those Christmas card lists now... (family one, Zack's class, Max's nursery... lots of writing to do).

    I've even finally ordered some wide-fit wellies! Bout time too. Hope they arrive asap... bloody snow!

    -----

    Max's talking and communicating is really coming on.

    Like, REALLY coming on.

    This week we're getting the following regularly:

    Peeeez = please

    bed = bread/sandwich

    mummmeeeee = mummy (YAY! :D )

    nana = dummy (don't know why, but when he's lost his dummy, that's what he says!)

    Not only that... he's started...

    Wait for it...

    Wait....

    POINTING!! Not just pointing to what he wants, but if I point at something, he looks to where I'm pointing!

    He's also starting to do what he's told (sometimes) even if he doesn't want to.

    For example, bedtime is sometimes a bone of contention with Max. He's exhausted but doesn't want to leave my side. I can understand that. I am awesome after all!

    He'll cry and wail and be Very Upset at me, but he will still trudge up the stairs, albeit very slowly.

    Progress? We have LOTS!

    -----

    Today we went up to the square to see the celebrations for the Christmas lights going on. It was freezing, but my boys did well. Zack was pointing out lots of friends, and generally enjoying himself. There was a free mini panto too, which was great as our feet were starting to feel, well, I don't know what as I couldn't feel mine! You get the picture!

    Zack sat happily on the mats for the kids, and the guy who was organising it very kindly let me take Max in on his buggy as there was no way otherwise he'd sit still, and he was screaming the second I tried to take him out of the buggy.

    To say they both enjoyed it was an understatement! Zack was giggling and shouting with the rest of the kids, and even Max started laughing his little head off when the two sisters in the play 'fell' into each others faces with 'custard'!

    Zack was completely besotted with the Christmas lights. Especially since his bestest friend from school was one of the kids helping to switch them on! As soon as the two of them meet they're full of hugs for each other. Seems my lil lad has a wee girlfriend! LOL :)

    Other than that it's been a quiet one this week... what about you?

    I'm just really starting to wonder if I'll be able to get the boys to school and nursery tomorrow. Max won't walk in snow - he just refuses, and there's no was I can get the buggy out in that. :S

    Ooh, what plugin do you use to send replies to comments automatically by email? I've been looking for that one!

    November 29, 2010 | Unregistered Commenterella

    It's called Comment Reply Notification. Just search for it in the 'add new' plugins bit and it'll turn up. :)

    I'm absolutely stunned at how well he's progressing! SO proud of my lil man, and his big brother too, who is being such a help since we've been reading NAS's book My Brother Is Different. :)
