    Procrastination

I have a terrible habit of thinking about the things I want to do without actually doing it.

There are so many people out there that do SO much, and I wonder how on earth they find the time, till I realise that I DO have the time, I just don’t use it effectively.

I want to learn more about my camera, and photography in general. I have plenty of books to keep me occupied, but instead I mess around on msn/twitter/facebook/WoW and don’t.

I want to pull my blog up to that next level, and I know how to, but I just, don't.

I keep thinking about clearing out the kids’ toys before Christmas, but I come up with excuses and watch a movie instead.

The kitchen needs cleaned. It’ll only take 10 minutes. I’ll do it later.

I really don’t use my time effectively. I never have.

I’ve always been one of those people who left things till the last minute. It’s in my blood it seems.

I want to be different. I want to change into this can be bothered person who is productive in an effective way, but I just can’t seem to get off my butt to do it.

Maybe I need to make myself some deadlines.

Yet another way I can procrastinate. Great going there Softi...

    /sigh

It's easy and bad pattern to get into of I'll do it later. I know I do it on too things myself and I think it comes down to the feeling that you've done a lot already. So that if it isn't a necessity to do now then you deserve a break. I believe it stems from a combination of mood and energy. Because especially if my energy level is low or I'm in a bad mood I do not want to do things that could wait at all.

The issue that does come up from it is that typically the longer you do wait on some of them the more time you'll have to invest later in them. Especially cleaning.
