Tarting up my...

...theme. Ahhh you naughty person, what did you think I was going to say? I'm already tarted up enough thankyouverymuch!
I've been humming and hawing about what to do with this, my thesis theme. Truth is, I really don't know what I want. Something more me than the blank boring way it is now. I am NOT blank or boring! I want my blog to reflect me, but then I don't really know how to get it to do that. Hell, half the time I don't really know who I am!
Anyone have any ideas? I'd love maybe a stylized thistle, possibly in a sort of tribal design that's soft around the edges, to go up the left hand side, and... other than that, not a scooby. ("not a scooby" is what we used to say instead of 'not a clue' when I was at uni).
As for a colour-scheme. Well, I like red, so maybe white and red? Like a sort of wine-coloured red? You know what I mean, right?
I'd really like to do something about the nav bar on the top there too but again, I'm not sure *what* yet.
If there are any web-designers (confident with the Thesis theme) out there who are bored and want to help me out with some ideas for free then feel free to get in touch! :P

Re: a swirly stylish thistle - would it not perhaps be better up on the top right, at the big gap next to the blog title?

See you're much better at the Glesga patter than me since you live closer. :P
I'm going to do the banner differently too - fancy text etc as a pictchur in the middle. Plus the lhs is the side people are more likely to see even if they're reading from a small screen, like your netbook. Wouldn't want you to miss out on the pretteh! ;)
thing is, it's all very well me saying i like that idea, but i'm not that creative, so whether i'll be able to come up with it myself or not I really dont know >_<
